From the author of "Little Women", this short story follows three young women who form a temperance society. Worried about their male friends’ alcohol consumption, Portia, Pauline, and Priscilla set about trying to convince the men in their town that life can still be fun, even when sober. The "Sweet P’s", as the girls are called, each wears an earring in the shape of a silver pitcher as a symbol of their society.

The antithesis of the 2021 Oscar-winning film 'Another Round', 'Silver Pitchers explores the power of women to create change.

Louisa May Alcott (1832 – 1888) was an American novelist, short story writer and poet. Having grown up in poverty, May Alcott was a passionate advocate for women's rights and abolitionist. She is best known as the author of the March Family Series: "Little Women", "Good Wives", "Little Men" and "Jo's Boys".
